Preventive Maintenance and Optimization
Proper maintenance can help preserve performance, control temperatures, reduce dust buildup, and detect wear before it becomes a major failure.
TEI-NOLOGY provides preventive maintenance and optimization for desktop computers, adapting the service to size, component count, cooling system, overall condition, and work complexity.
What can maintenance include?
Depending on the computer and recommended service level, we may perform:
- Internal computer cleaning.
- Dust removal from fans, filters, and components.
- Exterior case cleaning.
- Fan condition checks.
- Cooling system inspection.
- Temperature checks.
- Thermal paste replacement where applicable.
- Basic internal connection checks.
- Cable organization and inspection.
- Visual component inspection.
- Case airflow checks.
- Storage drive checks.
- Basic memory and stability checks.
- Hardware-related driver checks.
- Basic system optimization when needed.
- Post-maintenance tests.
- Inspecting air intake filters.
- Checking exhaust airflow.
Different maintenance levels
Not every computer needs the same work.
A compact office computer may need very different service from a high-performance gaming PC with multiple fans, dedicated graphics, liquid cooling, and several storage devices.
We therefore classify maintenance according to each computer’s characteristics and condition.
Essential Maintenance
For relatively simple configurations or computers needing periodic preventive cleaning.
May include general cleaning and checks of fans, filters, connections, and basic system operation.
Complete Maintenance
Recommended for computers with more components or requiring more detailed attention.
May include deep cleaning, thermal checks, internal organization, cooling inspection, and additional operational tests.
Advanced Maintenance
For more complex configurations, high-performance computers, or systems requiring more extensive work.
May include additional component disassembly, more thorough thermal maintenance, cooling system checks, and extended stability tests.
The appropriate level is determined after reviewing the computer’s characteristics and condition.
How does it work?
We identify the computer type, installed components, cooling system, and overall condition.
We explain the recommended service and necessary work before starting.
Once accepted, we perform the agreed maintenance. If we discover a damaged part, fault, or component requiring repair or replacement, we inform you before additional work.
We perform the agreed work while taking care of components and maintaining proper internal organization.
After maintenance, we check general system operation and, where applicable, temperatures, fans, and stability.
Usage and care recommendations
Review the usage, update, and maintenance recommendations relevant to the work performed to help care for your computer after the service.
When do we recommend maintenance?
Consider an assessment if you notice:
- Visible dust buildup.
- Higher-than-usual temperatures.
- Fans constantly running at high speed.
- A significant increase in noise.
- Reduced performance under load.
- Computers that have gone a long time without maintenance.
- Cooling problems.
- Temperature-related restarts or shutdowns.
- After extended use in dusty or poorly ventilated environments.
You can also schedule preventive maintenance even if the computer has no obvious problem.
Maintenance does not mean replacing components unnecessarily
During service, we may identify worn parts or conditions that could affect operation.
That does not mean they will be replaced automatically.
If we identify a situation requiring repairs, replacement, or an upgrade, we explain our recommendation and request your approval before continuing.
Service at our location or yours
Some maintenance can be performed at the customer’s location, depending on the computer, site conditions, and required work.
If maintenance requires more time, additional disassembly, specialized tools, or tests better performed at our workspace, we can arrange pickup and subsequent delivery.
On-site services may have an additional cost depending on location and the work involved.
Pricing based on the computer and service level
Maintenance prices may vary depending on computer size, component count, cooling system, required disassembly, and general condition.
Before performing the service, we will tell you the appropriate maintenance level and price.
Not sure which maintenance level you need?
Tell us which computer you have and when it was last serviced. We can help determine the service needed before work begins.
